I had Pergo flooring installed last september by Lowes. The job looked beautiful when first completed. Now, some of the edges of the boards are beginning to raise. When a piece of furniture is slid across the area the edge of the Pergo is chipping away. I have called Lowes and advised them of the situation at which time the installer advises to fill the area with wood filler and all will be fine. Not… The wood filler comes out. If I would have known that the product was going to react in this fashion I would have went with real wood flooring.

Needless to say, I am somewhat disappointed. Do you have any suggestions?

I have until September until Lowes no longer will cover the install. Could this flooring be defective or the install not properly done? I wish now I would have went with wood.

    Thanks,

    Kathy,
This seems like a defect to me. I have seen this with some of the cheap no name brands of laminate but not very often with the name brand. I am thinking moisture caused some of this warpage or the install was not tight.

    I would bug Lowe’s a bit more.
